Suvia Group Oy, Finland’s leading provider of vehicle damage inspection and repair services, has appointed Jens Jensen (47) as CEO of the Group, effective 1 September 2020. Jensen succeeds Kari Kivikoski, who will focus on leading MB Rahastot’s other portfolio company, the A-Katsastus Group.
Jens Jensen has strong experience in managing service and insurance related operations. He has most recently worked as Business Director for Corporate Clients at Suomen Terveystalo Oy and before that for many years in the insurance and banking sector.
The Suvia Group consists of InCar Oy, a provider of damage repair services, Suomen Vahinkotarkastus SVT Oy, a provider of vehicle-related damage inspection services, and A-Test & Consulting Oy, a provider of automotive quality assurance and equipment services. The Group is a unique combination of 24-hour damage advice, damage inspection expertise and the most comprehensive damage repair chain in the country. The Group had a turnover of EUR 64 million in 2019 and employed over 450 people in more than 50 locations across the country.
In 2019, MB Rahastot acquired the A-Katsastus Group’s damage inspection and garage services as a separate business unit, which became Suvia Group. In the same context, MB Rahastot also acquired A-Katsastus’ inspection and driver examination services, which will continue under their former names as independent companies. Kari Kivikoski has so far been responsible for the management of both groups.
The A-Katsastus Group acquired Suomen Vahinkotarkastus SVT Oy, established in 1992, in 2014 and acquired a majority stake in InCar Oy, established in 1991, in 2017.
